Explore the crown of the tree or hide away in the hollow trunk Lui is a single-tower MiniPlay play environment. From the crown of the tree, children can discover the world from up high through the dome window, which is made of impact-resistant polycarbonate. The small window on the other side encourages social interaction while enabling children to observe their surroundings. Underneath the floor, you can climb into the secret lair, which is ideal for swapping secrets and telling stories, or playing ‘sleeping bear’. The sky is the limit. Lui has been developed for tots and toddlers Like the rest of the MiniPlay family, Lui has been developed for children aged 0-4 years. In designing the series, the focus has been on incorporating age-appropriate activities and features that develop children’s motor skills. Over a whole year, we have developed, tested and tailored activities together with children and childcare professionals, for example occupational therapists and physiotherapists. This ensures that MiniPlay is geared to the youngest children, and that all the activities are designed to support children’s natural development, including their gross and fine motor skills, cross-coordination, linguistic, social and emotional development as well as logical and abstract thinking.
A 3 mm rubber coating ensures a firm footing for children, even when it is raining and in frosty weather.
The posts are powder-coated in beautiful colours to match our theme worlds while also being protected from rust by hot-dip galvanising.
The play systems are easy to access either from the ground, via a crawling ramp or stairs. In this way, all children can participate.
The floor height is such that an adult can easily stand next to and support children while they are playing, and thus ensure that the children feel safe when exploring the play activities.
The polyethylene boards are 100% recyclable, and contain no hazardous chemicals. They are approved according to the specific requirements of both the EU Toy Safety Directive EN 71 and the US Food Directive.
Children use their major muscle groups and strengthen their gross motor skills when playing on the play equipment. Gross motor skills are vital for both their basic motor development as well as their fine motor skills.
Transparent polycarbonate adds extra fun for children as they see the world anew through the windows and domes. Polycarbonate is extremely impact-resistant, whatever the temperature. The material is also UV-protected to prevent the boards from fading when exposed to sunlight.
The play equipment offers ample opportunities for children to engage in cooperative play. It grows their social and language skills, which is key to developing relationships and friendships.
The slides are made of polyethylene, which is heat-resistant and therefore does not get too hot to touch in the sunshine.
The many moving parts support the development of children’s fine motor skills. Through the stimulation of their fine motor skills, children learn to make small precise movements which, among other things, make it easier for them to hold and control a pencil.
