Virok is an all-round play system Virok can accommodate a very wide age group. Structured according to zones, it can be used by many children at once despite its limited space requirement of approx. 10 x 10 metres. The Virok system incorporates many of the Explore universe’s play activities, for example the kitchen and stove, which encourage role-playing. The Virok system also features the swinging jungle hut, suspension bridges, tic-tac-toe as well as the two slides. Even though it’s designed for energetic play, it is still safe. All the floors are finished with a specially developed cubit-grain non-slip surface. Tic-tac-toe a popular playground game For many years, tic-tac-toe – or noughts and crosses as it is otherwise known – has been a popular children’s game; in fact, it is one of the most-played games worldwide. Now the game has been brought to the playground as part of the Virok play system. At the bottom of the play panel is the scoring scale – who will win the first five games? The pieces are designed with rounded edges so they are comfortable to touch.

Galvanised and lacquered posts

The posts are powder-coated in beautiful colours to match our theme worlds while also being protected from rust by hot-dip galvanising.

Non-toxic and recyclable polyethylene

The polyethylene boards are 100% recyclable, and contain no hazardous chemicals. They are approved according to the specific requirements of both the EU Toy Safety Directive EN 71 and the US Food Directive.

Social and language skills

The play equipment offers ample opportunities for children to engage in cooperative play. It grows their social and language skills, which is key to developing relationships and friendships.

Role-play

Children love role-play. It improves their understanding of themselves and their surroundings, because by imitating the world around them, they learn more about patterns of behaviour, social interaction and handling emotions.

Strengthens immersion and concentration

Playground areas where children can withdraw and immerse themselves in an activity improve their concentration and ability to focus.

The bird’s nest

The bird’s nest is ideal for developing very young children’s motor skills and vestibular sense, while older children use it as a social gathering point.

Stimulates the sense of touch

Playing with sand and moving parts stimulates children’s sense of touch, which is fundamental to all sensory motor development. This is how children ‘feel the world’ and get to know it.
